Inputs

  • Made a very lovely braised pork stir fry over the weekend, that’s about the only interesting ‘inputs’ if you like. Or maybe The Big Daddy Pistachio chocolate thing from Marks & Spencer. I’m not really supposed to eat pistachios and I’m feeling pretty awful now but it was soooooooo worth it

Outputs

  • Started some early systems mapping for a bit of work, although it’s proving to be quite challenging due to lack of insights so basing it on assumptions and will have to validate later

Sidequests

  • Enjoyed driving a new Volvo XC40 Black Edition for a few days whilst my car was being service, it was only supposed to be in for the day but ended up having an overnight stay. Didn’t love the bill though!

  • On the subject of systems mapping using limited knowledge and assumptions—at what point do you have to say ‘we need to pause and gather more data before I continue?’ I understand that taking an assumptions-based approach to design has to be done sometimes but there’s got to be a line somewhere that you have to draw when you are really stuck due to lack of available data/insight?

Bugs

  • The wind was a bit much. Felt like I was going to blown in to the River Tay on Monday…
